The new season of singing reality show ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ has started. Music composer-singer duo Sachet and Parampara have joined the show as mentors. Recently, both of them shared their experiences during a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.

What kind of inspiration has being a part of ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ given you?

legacy: I feel very happy and motivated to be a part of this show. It is a great experience not only for us but also for all the contestants. ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’ is a special show, which has its own identity in the field of music. I have watched it since my childhood and always wanted to be a part of it. When we got a chance to do this show, it is a golden opportunity for us. This is a turning point for us, where we are taking another step towards making our dreams come true.

How much do reality shows matter to talents?

conscious: Reality shows are very important for talent. When contestants come to the show, they not only sing their songs but also get a chance to hone and improve their talent. Every day they spend here is a precious opportunity for them to learn and enhance their skills. Whatever feedback they get during this time, it makes their journey even easier.

Have you guys faced any kind of challenge in the industry?

legacy: Yes, I think the biggest challenge was how to find our originality. When we were starting out, we had to understand that if we were truly original, we would get noticed quickly. In the beginning, it took us time to understand how different and special our songs should be. This was a big challenge. The first three-four years were very difficult for us, but we focused on hard work and did not deviate from our goals. We focused on our work and worked hard to prove ourselves.

What change is necessary to bring in the industry?

conscious: Earlier people used to sit together and work, which was very good. Now people are mostly going their own way, and that doesn’t seem right to me. I want all the creators to get back to the process of making songs together again. Earlier, when Laxmikant Pyarelal and other musicians used to sit together and work, a great coordination was created.

legacy: Yes, when all the musicians and directors sat together, a team was formed. Everyone used to write songs together and then give it a new form. This whole process was very fun and inspiring. If we adopt this process again, it will be very beneficial.

Do you believe that creative teams should work together?

conscious: Absolutely. I know that those whose music work has been done in the last few years, their teams are hard-working. They take part in a lot of meetings, because creation does not come all at once. Every song is a journey, and collaboration is very important in this journey. When we sit together, we exchange ideas, and through this we can get better results.

legacy:If we could do things the old way, it would be great. When producers, directors, and creators all work together, the process of creating original music will never have to be tedious. This will not only enhance our creativity, but the audience will also get to hear original and heartfelt music.
