A cloth businessman was cheated of Rs 11 lakh in Sriganganagar.
Sriganganagar News Desk, a readymade garments trader resident of Ward No. 3 of Anupgarh became a victim of fraud of Rs 11 lakh in the lure of cheap gold. He lodged a complaint of fraud with the police on Thursday, two months after the incident.
Victim businessman Vijay told that he was searching for Kooparam (who had cheated) for the last two months, but could not find any information about him. Recently, the police have received photographs of Kooparam captured in the camera, on the basis of which they are searching for him.
In the case registered with the police, Vijay Kumar son of Bhadar Ram told that he runs a readymade clothes shop in Anupgarh. On August 2, Kuparam resident Kavatra Wagora Jalore came to his shop to buy clothes. He told him that he worked in a brick kiln and while digging the soil he had found some old silver coins and two big gold chains (necklaces). After which Kuparam gave him an old silver coin to get it examined by a goldsmith. When he got the coin tested, it was found to be genuine silver.
