Sonipat: 33.64% voting done in the district so far, clash between police and Gohana Congress candidate
Voting is going on for 6 assembly seats of Sonipat district in Haryana. Till 1 pm, 33.64 percent voting took place in Sonipat district. Ganaur seat has recorded the highest voting percentage of 40.50%. The slowest voting is going on in Kharkhoda seat. 30 percent voting took place here.
There has been a controversy over changing the covering agent at the polling booth set up in Haryana School in Gohana Assembly constituency. Congress candidate Jagbir Malik also reached here and had an argument with the police.
There was a dispute with a young man who had come to cast fake vote at the polling booth in JVM School, Sonipat. Here, supporters of Congress candidate Surendra Panwar are accusing the BJP councilor of casting fake votes.
Voting will continue till 6 pm. The result will come on 8th October. Total voters in Sonipat district are 12 lakh 795. A total of 1291 polling booths have been made here. A total of 65 candidates are contesting on 6 assembly seats. This time, 30 additional booths have been created to increase the voting percentage in the assembly elections.
There was a fight outside the booth in Mahmoodpur village of Gohana assembly constituency over voting. Two persons were injured in this.
