Cow becomes state mother in Maharashtra

Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra has taken a very big decision for the cows. The government has now given the status of state mother to the desi cow in the state. The Government of Maharashtra has highlighted the status of desi cow in Indian culture and the usefulness of desi cow milk in human diet. Also, this decision has been taken in view of the importance of local cow dung and cow urine in Ayurveda medicine and Panchgavya treatment system and farming systems. Now Maharashtra government will run a separate scheme to provide subsidy for cattle.

Government will give subsidy for cow rearing

After declaring the cow as the state mother, a statement has also been issued from the Chief Minister’s Office of Maharashtra. In which it is said that ‘in the cabinet meeting today, it was decided to implement the subsidy scheme of Rs 50 per day for rearing indigenous cows. The meeting was presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Since the cow shelters could not afford it due to their low income, it was decided to strengthen them. This means that now subsidy will be provided by the government to the cow shed operators in the state.
