ISRO will create history in collaboration with European Space Agency, know the launch date and features of Proba-3

Science News Desk – India’s space research organization ISRO is preparing to launch a new mission early next month. ISRO will launch this mission in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA). It has been named Proba-3. This mission will consist of 2 spacecraft which will be launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, India. Proba-3 is a very special mission in itself. Let us know why this is important and what is the objective of both the space agencies behind the mission.

ISRO is preparing to launch the new space mission Proba-3 in partnership with the European Space Agency. According to UNI, the mission is scheduled to launch on December 4. This mission is special because it will be the first mission in which two spacecraft will fly together in precise formation. The purpose of this mission is to study the Sun in detail. This mission will be an achievement as it will help in the study of the Sun’s atmosphere called the corona.

This mission will involve two spacecraft. One is named Occulter Spacecraft (OSC) which will weigh 200 kg. While the name of the second one is Coronagraph Spacecraft (CSC) which will weigh 340 kg. At the time of launch, the OSC spacecraft will be at the top while the CSC will be present below it. The CSC will be loaded with a special fuel and sent off so that when it reaches space, it can continue its journey.

This mission will be launched through ISRO’s PSLV-XL rocket. This will take both the spacecraft out of the Earth. After reaching space, both the spacecraft will separate but both will work together. They will remain in touch with each other through communication devices and will work in coordination. Together they will work as one big instrument which will show the Sun very closely. With this, the Sun can be studied closely.

This will be the first time that the Sun will be seen so closely. New discoveries about the Sun can be made through this mission. What is happening on the surface of the Sun can be seen very closely. Besides, the origin and movement of solar storms will also be known better.
