Haridwar. On the occasion of Constitution Day, District Magistrate Karmendra Singh today administered the oath on the Preamble of the Constitution to the officers and employees. On this occasion, he said that the main objective of celebrating Constitution Day is to express the democratic values ​​of the Constitution and loyalty to the Constitution. This day reminds us of important values ​​like democracy, secularism and social justice, and also makes us realize our rights and duties. The District Magistrate said that it is our duty to respect the sentiments enshrined in the Constitution. On 26 November 1949, the Constituent Assembly formally adopted the Indian Constitution, which came into force on 26 January 1950. Prime Minister Narendra Modi started celebrating Constitution Day in 2015 on the occasion of the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Its objective is to increase awareness among the citizens about constitutional values. He also reminded that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had an important role in the making of the Indian Constitution, as he was the chairman of the drafting committee of the Constituent Assembly. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate PL Shah , Deependra Singh Negi, Deputy District Magistrate Manish Singh, Lakshmi Raj Chauhan, Chief Personal Officer Sudesh Kumar and other officers and employees were present.
