New Delhi: There is no conflict between spirituality and science as a sense of faith is required in both fields to achieve justice, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat said at a book release function on Tuesday.
Addressing the participants at the launch of the book ‘Banayen Jeevan Praanwaan’ authored by RSS Pracharak Mukul Kanitkar, he said as per news agency ANI, “For the past 2,000 years, the world has been influenced by arrogance. Humanity has believed that knowledge acquired through sensory perception is the only truth, particularly since the advent of modern science. However, this perspective is incomplete. Science has its limits, and it is erroneous to assume that nothing exists beyond its scope.”
RSS chief highlights unique characteristics of Sanatan Dharma
The RSS chief also highlighted the unique characteristics of Sanatan Dharma, which includes introspection when focussing on the the external world. Bhagwat further pointed out that by moving deeply into inner experiences, life’s truths have been discovered. “There is no reason for conflict between this approach and science. Spirituality also adheres to the principle of ‘know before you believe,’ though its methods differ. In spirituality, the tool is the mind, whose energy stems from prana (life force),” he added.
He further pointed out that every particle possesses consciousness, due to which it becomes pure. This understanding has allowed us to offer a holistic vision of life. Today, the world also requires such a perspective. It is our responsibility to provide it, and we are fully capable of doing so,” the agency quoted him further as saying.
India has its own ‘Pran Shakti’: Mohan Bhagwat
Bhagwat added that while India has its own ‘pran shakti’ but the same is not visible to many since, 500 years of ‘sanskar’ are deeply attached in their consciousness. He added that it is India’s pran shakti, which makes it extend help to other countries in case of any crisis without considering whether the country is hostile to India or friendly.
