WCREU stays among the railway employees not during elections but 365 days in a year, then it will become the number one union.
Jabalpur. General Secretary of West Central Railway Employees Union (WCREU). Mukesh Galav has said that if the Central Government does not take any decision on the formation of the Eighth Pay Commission by January 25, then there will be an all-out movement for this. Also, the struggle of AIRF/WCREU will continue till UPS is made a better scheme than OPS.
Mr. Galav said that unlike other organizations, it is not visible only at the time of elections, the union is present among the employees 24 hours a day, 365 days. This is the reason why it (the union) has been getting full support from the employees. An example of this is the Railway Society elections held recently, in which red flags were hoisted on all the 29 seats of Jabalpur division. This was said by the General Secretary of WCREU. Mukesh Galav said while discussing with journalists. Union’s divisional president BN Shukla and divisional secretary Romesh Mishra were present on this occasion.

Mukesh Galav said that regarding the secret ballot of trade union in Railways on 4th, 5th and 6th December, he said that after a lot of struggle by AIRF, secret ballot started being held in Railways after the order of the court, before this the government at the center She has been working to give recognition to her organization. He said that this time’s election is quite different from other elections. Railway employees have understood that they have to support the organization which always stands by them in their happiness and sorrow and WCREU fully meets this criterion. Therefore, the vote of railway employees will be on the union’s election symbol, lamp.
The union has a personal relationship with every employee and is ready to serve them.
Shri Galav said that WCREU has a personal relationship with every employee, union officials are always ready to solve all their problems, whether personal or duty related. In Jabalpur as well as in Kota and Mandal, the union continues to provide this service to the employees and their families who come for treatment from far-flung stations, whether it is to provide them with blood in times of need or to refer them to a hospital.
Will not rest until UPS is improved like OPS
Union General Secretary. Mukesh Galav said that the struggle started by AIRF/WCREU for OPS in place of NPS has resulted in 80 percent success in the form of UPS, but the 20 percent benefit that is left out like OPS, efforts are being made to fight for it. Will keep doing. He said that our struggle will continue till UPS is made even better than OPS.
If the 8th Pay Commission is not formed by January 25, there will be agitation.
Shri Galav said that AIRF/WCREU has decided that if the Central Government does not constitute the Eighth Pay Commission by January 2025, then there will be a strong agitation for it and the responsibility for this will be on the Central Government. He said that there are many burning issues including cadre restructuring of the employees, which are the priority of his organization, they will be completed at any cost. Cadre restructuring will increase promotion opportunities for employees.
