Bomb blast near 2 night clubs in Chandigarh

There is news of an explosion outside two night clubs in Chandigarh early Tuesday. Suspected attackers threw explosives towards night clubs located in Sector 26. Earlier it was being said that the explosives were thrown targeting the club. That club belonged to rapper Badshah but the police has now denied this.

It is being said that two unknown bikers threw suspected explosives. The suspects carried out the attack around 4 am on Tuesday. It is being told that this was a very low capacity blast. No one has been injured in this incident.

Earlier there was news that this blast happened in the night club of rapper Badshah. But now Chandigarh Police has made it clear that this blast did not happen in Badshah’s club Seville but in De.orra. Next door to De.orra is the King’s nightclub Seville. Police are not even calling it a bomb. Police say that they have found some jute ropes from the spot.

Broken windows of the club can be seen in video from the scene. After receiving the news of the blast, Chandigarh Police reached the spot and started investigating the matter. Teams of Bomb Disposal Squad and Central Forensic Science Lab also reached the spot to collect samples from the spot.

According to Chandigarh Police sources, an attempt was made to detonate outside the night clubs of Chandigarh by making homemade bombs using potash filled in firecrackers. Some jute ropes have also been recovered from the spot. The night clubs were closed when the blast took place. In such a situation, it is believed that these blasts were carried out only for the purpose of spreading terror.

Sources say that in the initial investigation, there is a possibility of extortion angle behind these blasts by spreading panic among the owners of night clubs. Chandigarh Police is investigating the case with the help of forensic teams.
