Suicide by a 16 year old minor in Shamsherpur Cantt, Nahan
Nahan, 28 November (Hindustan Reporter). A case of suicide by a 16 year old minor has come to light in Nahan Shamsherpur Cantt. According to the information received from the police, a youth named Soheb lived with his mother in Shamsherpur Cantt area. The accident occurred late on Wednesday evening between 8 and 9 pm.
According to the information received, when Soheb’s mother called her son from his room at night itself, there was no response. When mother opened the room, Soheb was hanging with a rope from the wing of the ceiling. Seeing the painful condition of her son, the mother screamed loudly but by then it was too late.
Hearing the mother’s screaming and crying, people from the neighborhood also gathered. Nahan police was also informed about the incident. The body was taken into custody by the police and sent to Nahan Medical College for post-mortem.
Police investigation revealed that no suicide note of any kind was found in the youth’s room. According to the information received, the minor was an ITI student. Minor Soheb’s father died in his childhood and he was the only child of his mother.
According to the information received, mother and son together used to run a small shop outside the house to make ends meet. It is also being said that Soheb was a very calm and good character young man, yet his embracing of death is confusing the people around him. Additional SP Yogesh Rolta has confirmed the matter.
