Russia attacked Ukraine’s power plants with 90 missiles and 100 drones in one night. Ukrainian officials say that Russia has used the winter weather as a weapon and was planning to attack Ukraine in advance by stockpiling missiles. The head of Ukraine’s presidential office, Andrey Yermak, said Russia was helped by its ‘crazy’ allies, such as North Korea.

Attacks on civilian safety

At least five people have been injured in this attack, including one in Vinnytsia, two in Odessa and two in Kiev. Civilians took shelter in metro stations during the attack. Officials said that about two lakh fifteen thousand houses had no electricity. The Energy Ministry said that "Electrical engineers are trying to provide backup power wherever possible, and repair work has started where safety conditions are appropriate."

Russia’s response and Ukraine’s conflict

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that this attack is a response to the attacks carried out by Ukraine with weapons received from Britain and America. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia used cluster munitions, which target civilians and energy structures. He gave it another go in the war "brutal hike" Told.

Valery Doroti, a citizen, said, "I had a power bank to charge my phone, but I never thought such attacks would happen. But the missiles reached us."

Zelensky appealed to his allies for help with air defense systems, saying such attacks show that these systems save lives.

Russian military strength and Ukrainian response

Ukraine’s largest private energy company, DTEK, said its plants had been hit by more than 190 attacks since the war began. Putin said on Russian weapons, "We have the most powerful missiles in the world, which have no parallel." He also said that the production of these missiles is being increased.

Putin also warned that Russia reserves the right to attack military targets of countries that use weapons against Russia.
