No, we are not talking about Virat Kohli here. No prizes for guessing! It is the Baadshah of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan. According to a list released by Fortune India featuring celebrity taxpayers for the financial year 2024, SRK secured the top spot by paying a whopping Rs 92 crore in taxes. Now, that is massive, isn’t it?

On the second spot in the prestigious rankings comes Tamil superstar Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy, who paid Rs 80 crore in taxes. Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachchan hold the third and fourth spots. They paid Rs 75 crore and Rs 71 crore in taxes, respectively. Indian cricketer Virat Kohli sums up the top five by contributing Rs 66 crore in taxes.

You will be amazed to know that Kareena Kapoor Khan led the female brigade, paying Rs 20 crore in taxes. In the television industry, comedian Kapil Sharma made it to the esteemed list by paying Rs 26 crore in taxes.

Shah Rukh Khan next project

After having a blockbuster 2023 at the Box Office, SRK will next be seen on the silver screen in King. The highly anticipated movie, directed by renowned filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh, also features his daughter Suhana Khan. Further details about the project have not been made public so far.
