The design and range of this car are its plus points. We are talking about Xiaomi from the Bestune brand, which was introduced some time ago. The biggest feature of this car is its range. It is said that this car can run up to 1200 km on a full charge and is priced between 30,000 to 50,000 Yuan (approximately Rs 3.53 lakh to Rs 5.78 lakh).

Power and Battery
Powering the Xiaoma is a 20kW electric motor, which is located on the rear shaft. It has a Lithium-Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, supplied through GOSHAN and REPT. For safety, it has an airbag on the driver’s side. This car comes with 3-door. Apart from this, this car also features anti-lock braking system as well as EBD. Talking about the size, the length of this car is 3000mm, width is 1510mm and height is 1630mm. Its wheelbase is 1953mm.

Bestune Shaoma was introduced at the Shanghai Auto Show in April last year. This car has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has many features. Dual-tone theme is seen on its dashboard. This car has an aerodynamic design, due to which it remains stable even at high speed and its range also increases. Both its hardtop and convertible variants were introduced.

Based on FME platform
Bestune is based on the Shaoma FME platform, which is specifically designed for EVs and range extenders. Earlier, a ride-hailing EV called NAT was also built on the same platform. The FME platform has two sub-platforms named A1 and A2. The A1 sub-platform is for cars with a wheelbase of 2700–2850 mm, while the A2 is used for cars with a wheelbase of 2700–3000 mm.
When will it be launched in India?
Currently, the Bestune Shaoma electric car is available for sale in China and is being greatly appreciated. This car is expected to be brought to the Indian market also. This type of micro EV will be liked a lot in India. These cars can easily weave out of traffic with excellent range.
