Uttar Pradesh: Car hits tempo; Five people died
A horrific road accident took place on National Highway-730 in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh on Saturday. A speeding car hit the tempo. Five people died on the spot in the accident. While the condition of six people is critical. After the incident, a crowd of people gathered at the spot. Police reached the spot and took information about the incident. Sent the injured to hospital. The accident happened at Mohanipur intersection of Ikauna police station area.
Vijay Chaudhary (32), son of Ram Achal, resident of Navagaon under Sorha police station of Basti district, had brought his SUV car UP 51 AR 3569 to Bahraich to get it repaired. From where he was returning on Saturday. During this time, Sohrab (42), son of the same village, Safiullah, was also in the car.
As soon as Vijay reached Mohanipur in Ikauna police station area located in Buddhist Circuit with the car. Then due to the speed being very high, he suddenly lost control after seeing the tempo going in front. Due to this the car went out of control and collided with the tempo moving ahead. Due to the high speed, the car and tempo fell into a ravine about ten feet away from the roadside.
There was an outcry on the spot after the incident. During this incident, the tempo rider Ayodhya Prasad (60), son of Chudamani, resident of Mohammadanpur, Gilola, and Murlidhar, son of Jokhu, resident of Dharsava, Bahraich, died on the spot. While nine people including the car rider were seriously injured. On receiving the information, CO Satish Sharma, who arrived with police station in-charge Ashwini Dubey, took all the injured to CHC Ikauna by ambulance.
There, the doctor declared Lallan (44) son of Subedar, resident of Pandey Purva of Ikauna police station area, resident of the tempo and Nanke Yadav (30) son of Mangal Prasad, resident of Baraipur and Rafiq (40) son of Idris, resident of Veerpur Sewanahe of Payagpur police station area of Bahraich, dead. .
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident that took place in Mohanipur of Ikauna. Expressing grief over the incident, he has asked for financial assistance to the dependents of the deceased, speedy recovery of the injured and financial assistance to them. Also, the Chief Minister has directed the DM and SP to immediately go to the spot and provide all possible help to the victims and provide them better treatment.
