The new Honda Amaze will go on sale on December 4 and will compete with the likes of Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.

Honda Cars India will officially introduce the third-generation Amaze sedan on December 4, 2024, and unofficial bookings have started. The sedan has started reaching dealer yards across the country ahead of its much-awaited debut. It will compete with the recently launched new Maruti Suzuki Dezire, Tata Tigor and Hyundai Aura.

The new Honda Amaze is expected to be offered in a total of three variants V, VX and ZX and will have several modifications inside and out compared to the outgoing model. Amaze was first launched in India a decade ago and has been one of the favorite sedans among the customers available in the domestic market. Many new features and technologies will also be available in it.

The range-topping model gets a floating touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, automatic climate control, ADAS technology, six airbags as standard, reversing camera, wireless smartphone charger, steering wheel with mounted controls, rear AC It will be loaded with vents, dual cup holders, Type-C charging port, etc.

But it will have some major shortcomings like electric sunroof, powered seats and 360-degree camera system. There will be no major mechanical changes and it will continue with the familiar 1.2 liter four-cylinder VTEC naturally aspirated petrol engine, which is good enough to generate around 90 PS of peak power.

The powertrain will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or CVT. The sedan’s refreshed design takes inspiration from Honda’s Elevate and City models. The front end has been extensively reworked, featuring sharp LED headlamps integrated with attractive LED DRLs. The grille has been updated with chrome-accented openings while the bonnet has also been updated.

The redesigned front bumper with updated fog lamp housing further enhances the road presence of the new Honda Amaze. We can expect a slight increase in price compared to the older model. The Japanese brand has also updated the dashboard layout and center console.
