Coming with new features
Baleno is one of the most loved hatchback cars in India, known for its comfortable interiors and premium looks. According to media reports, Maruti is planning to add a new ‘Alpha CNG 1.2-litre’ variant to the CNG variant of its Baleno. However, the company has not yet made any official announcement regarding the launch of this upgrade, it is expected that it may be announced soon.
Glimpse of possible features
The new Baleno may have many attractive features like diamond cut alloy wheels, head-up display (HUD), cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMs, 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 360-degree camera. All these features will be in addition to the existing features available in the Zeta variant.
Power and Mileage
Currently, the Baleno CNG variant is available in Delta and Zeta variants, which are equipped with a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, petrol engine. These engines give 88 bhp and 113 Nm torque. In CNG mode, it outputs 76 bhp and 98 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The mileage of CNG variant of Baleno is 30.61 km/kg and the mileage of petrol variant is 22.96 kmpl.
Price and availability
Currently, Maruti Baleno is priced between Rs 7.76 lakh to Rs 11.36 lakh on-road in Mumbai. Talking about the new trim, its price may be about Rs 50,000 more than the Alpha MT variant.
