A star is going to explode 3 thousand light years away from the Earth, will it harm our Earth, NASA answered

science news desk,A star is about to explode! According to the American space agency NASA, due to the explosion there will be a glow in the sky. The star may explode any time between now and September. The place where the explosion will take place is 3 thousand light years away from the Earth. NASA also says that such an event happens once in a year and will give amateur astronomers an opportunity to capture a special view of space.

According to the report of NDTV, there will be an explosion in the star system named Nova. It can be so big that it can be seen even with the naked eye. The nova is in the constellation Corona Borealis in our universe. Bill Cook, head of NASA's Meteoroid Environment Office (MEO), spoke to Fox News about this possible explosion. He said that we do not know about its timing as much as we know about eclipses. He said that whenever it happens, it will be something that you will remember.

The star which is about to explode is bound to a binary system. In such a system there is a giant star and a white dwarf star. In the current case, the larger star is dumping material onto the surface of the white dwarf as the two orbit very close to each other. The temperature of the dwarf star is increasing due to material dumping. According to the report, when this happens, thermonuclear explosion will start in it. Eventually it will blow all that material into space and become much brighter, hundreds of times brighter than before. Scientists think that the changes in the sky at the time of the explosion may be visible even with the naked eye.
