Aamir Khan, along with his children and former spouse, paid his final respects to the father of his first wife Reena Dutta. The emotionally charged gathering was captured by paparazzi who were stationed outside the building premises.

New Delhi: Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan recently displayed a heartwarming gesture of respect and solidarity by attending the last rites of his first wife Reena Dutta’s father. The 59-year-old actor was accompanied by his son Junaid, daughter Ira and son-in-law Nupur Shikhare.

Aamir’s former spouse Kiran Rao was also present at the emotionally charged gathering at Reena’s residence. Aamir was dressed in an off-white kurta, while his son opted for a casual look.

Touching visuals captured by paparazzi have since gone viral on social media. In one clip, Aamir is seen giving his daughter a warm hug as she arrives to honour her grandfather’s memory.

Another video shows Aamir’s brother Faisal Khan entering the premises to attend the final rites. Aamir, firmly standing by the ambulance, appeared to ensure all arrangements for the funeral were in order.

Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta’s marriage

Did you know Aamir and Reena were once neighbours before getting married? According to an indiatoday.in report, the two would often gaze at each other through the window. When Aamir finally confessed his love, Reena initially hesitated and rejected his proposal.

However, Aamir remained persistent and the couple eventually started dating. Reena even made a special appearance in the iconic song Papa Kehte Hain from Aamir’s debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. The couple secretly tied the knot in a court marriage with only three witnesses.

Unfortunately, after 16 years of marriage, Aamir and Reena parted ways in 2002, leaving fans devastated and heartbroken. Despite their separation, they continue to maintain a cordial relationship.
