Adani group There is another good news for. The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to buy power on a large scale to meet the state’s power needs with Adani Power. According to the information received, the State Cabinet approved the proposal to buy 1,500 MW of power from Adani Power Limited to meet the state’s electricity needs by 2034 on Tuesday. Giving information about this decision taken in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, State Energy Minister AK Sharma said that the government on Tuesday approved the proposal to purchase 1,500 MW of power from 2 times 800 MW (1,600 MW) thermal power project through competitive bidding process. He informed that Adani Power Limited has been declared a successful tender in the tender process in this regard.

The lowest rate was given by Adani Power

According to the information given by the state government, Adani Power has been ordered because it bid for electricity per unit at the lowest rate. The rate presented by him was Rs 5.383. Sharma said that the state will need an additional 10,795 MW of heat electricity by the year 2033-34 to meet its growing energy needs. He said that Adani Power Limited emerged as the lowest bidding company in the tender process. He described a fixed charge of Rs 3.727 per unit, fuel fee of Rs 1.656 per unit and total fee of Rs 5.383 per unit.

Agreement will be signed for 25 years

Sharma said that the power supply agreement will be signed with the company for a period of 25 years. Adani Power recorded an increase of 21.4 percent in PBT in FY 2025, compared to Rs 11,470 crore in FY 2024, Rs 13,926 crore, which was due to better EBITDA and low financial costs. The company of Adani Group recorded an increase of 10.8 percent in the FY 2025, an integrated continuous total revenue, which stood at Rs 56,473 crore in FY 2024 as compared to Rs 50,960 crore. The company’s total revenue increased by 5.3 percent to Rs 14,522 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2025, while it was Rs 13,787 crore in the fourth quarter of FY 2024.
