Agra-Prayagraj journey in four and a half hours

From the new year, the saffron colored Vande Bharat will start operating from North Central Railway (NCR) Prayagraj Zone from Agra to Prayagraj. Vande Bharat of 11 coaches will reach Prayagraj from Agra in four and a half hours. There will be a return in the same time. This train will stop at Tundla, Etawah, Kanpur stations. Loco pilots and guards of Agra Railway Division will operate it.

Operation started in April
The operation of the first Vande Bharat Express of Agra Railway Division started from April 1, 2023. There is a demand to operate Vande Bharat between Agra and Prayagraj. It takes six and a half to seven hours to cover the distance of 447 km.

A Railway Board official said that Magh Mela will be held in Prayagraj in January 2024 while Kumbh will be held in the year 2025. In such a situation, a large number of passengers will arrive from Agra and its surrounding areas. Due to this, continuous emphasis is being laid on the operation of Vande Bharat. Earlier the train had eight coaches, which will now increase to 11 coaches. It will have chair car and executive class.
