Researchers at the recent Microsoft and Carnegie Melon University have conducted a study conduct, which has shown that the use of generative AI affects people’s ability to think and understand.
Shocking revelations in research
It was found in this research that if technology is not used properly, it can harm our brain skills, especially the skills that should be strong over time. Research revealed that when people become more dependent on AI during work, their focus is discovered by finding solutions or analyzing things, it is just to see whether AI’s answer is worth using or not?
It starts to end the ability of humans to decide daily and think of thinking, due to which the powers of their brain start to weaken. It is clear that due to excessive use of AI, a person forgets to solve problems himself.
319 people participated in research
319 people participated in this research, who used generative AI at least once a week. During research, he was asked how he used AI, such as to write an e-mail, to do research on a topic or to change data charts, etc. In this, he was also questioned that while doing such a task, he works hard to think himself or leaves everything on AI?
36 percent of the participants participating in this research admitted that they also think themselves keeping in mind the possible risks from AI. However, 64% of the participants rely eyeing AI with eye. It was also found in this research that those who trust more on AI think less, that is, their sleeping flame decreases, that is, AI makes us stupid. Not only this, people are also becoming lazy because of AI.
