The airport operator Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) has given this information. According to MIL, before the start of the monsoon, the main runway of both the airport is to be maintained, due to which no flight will be operated for 6 hours. Mumbai International Airport Limited also stated that the mandatory notem (notice to airman) was issued 6 months ago to inform all stakeholders about this to enable the airline companies to accommodate their flight schedule ahead of time and make plans accordingly.
At what time will the airport be closed on Thursday
Let us tell you that during the monsoon, there is a lot of rain in Mumbai, so the runway is repaired every year before the monsoon starts. Mumbai International Airport Limited said that pre-monsoon maintenance will be done on both runways- 09/27 and 14/32 from 11 am to 5 pm on Thursday. During this period, both primary runway (09/27) and secondary runway (14/32) will be temporarily closed.
