Allahabad seeks reply from NHAI for not paying compensation

Uttar Pradesh News Desk Allahabad High Court rejected the petition demanding appointment of receiver in Jaigurudev Dharma Pracharak Sanstha. The court said that allegations of misuse of properties and funds of the organization have been made but no evidence has been presented. In such a situation, no case of appointment of receiver is made out. Justice Kshitij Shailendra gave this order on the petition of Jaigurudev Dharma Pracharak Sanstha and others. Accusing Pankaj Yadav and others of misusing the funds of the organization, a demand was made to appoint a receiver.

Allahabad High Court has sought answers from the Chairman and Managing Director of NHAI (National Highway Authority) on not giving compensation to the farmers for the land acquired for the construction of the National Highway. The court said that an affidavit should be filed explaining why the amount was not approved for a long time after the compensation was decided. Why has the amount not been transferred to the competent authority yet? Justice Manoj Kumar Gupta and Justice Anish Kumar Gupta have given this order on the petition of Shivpal Singh and 17 other farmers.

National Highway 233 is being built in village Maharipur of Basti. In this, land of many farmers has been acquired. The compensation was announced on 25 March 2022 but till date NHAI has not transferred the compensation amount to the account of the competent authority. In such a situation, farmers have not received compensation yet. Farmers filed a petition in the High Court. NHAI’s lawyer admitted that the sanctioned compensation amount has not been made available yet.
