Ambush attack on Air Force vehicle in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, one soldier sacrificed, four injured

On Saturday, terrorists opened fire on two vehicles, including an Indian Air Force (IAF) vehicle, in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. Five security personnel were injured in this attack, out of which one soldier died during treatment. Officials said the attack took place near Shashidhar in the evening when the vehicles were moving towards Sanai Top in Surankote area of ​​the district.

Five soldiers were injured, out of which the condition of two remains critical. He was taken to the hospital, officials said. A massive search and cordon operation has been launched to locate and eliminate the terrorists.

Sacrifice of a soldier during treatment

In the ensuing gunfight with the terrorists, the air warriors fought back by retaliating, IAF officials said. Five IAF personnel were shot in the attack and were immediately taken to the nearest military hospital for medical treatment. One air warrior later died of his injuries. Further action is underway by local security forces.
