The tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak and there is also a clash between the armies of the two countries. Pakistan is constantly attacking many states of India with missiles, drones and fighter jets. Amidst all this, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and JKPDP chief Mehbooba Mufti has started calling India for peace and talks. Mehbooba Mufti has urged India to lead peace efforts amid tension.

India should come forward to reduce stress- Mufti

Mehbooba Mufti has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the area. Mufti has condemned the violence and emphasized the need for diplomatic intervention to avoid further bloodshed. Mehbooba Mufti said- “The people of our region have longed the brunt of such conflicts. India should play a role in reducing stress as the world’s largest democracy and emerging global power.”

India should rely on the principle of peace- Mufti

Mehbooba Mufti has also cited the statement of US Vice President JD Vance and contact with Pakistan’s military leadership by Foreign Minister Marco Rubio. Mehbooba Mufti cited India’s global stature and said that India should rely on inconsistent international alliances but to rely on its principles of peace and democratic strength.

Argument of peace and talks

Mehbooba Mufti has advised India that India should show that its real strength lies not in its nuclear arsenal but in his commitment to peace and talks. Mufti has also said that revenge only increases the cycle of violence. The true leadership shows only the one who breaks this cycle. Mehbooba Mufti should move towards more struggle not to a future where our children can live without the shadow of war.
