Raide of Assistant Executive Engineer raided

Vigilance Department officials raided the locations of an executive engineer in Odisha. Vigilance officials were also shocked after seeing the assets of Assistant Executive Engineer during the raid. The Vigilance Department today raided 6 places simultaneously against Dileshwar Majhi, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) working in Titlagarh R \ & B sub -division of Balangir district. Cash was kept in the locker under the bed, while land and house have been detected in many places. This action has been taken on the basis of complaints of depositing disproportionate assets than income.

According to the information, Vigilance took this major action in Bolngir, Sambalpur and Jharsuguda districts. A search operation was carried out on the basis of search warrant received from Special Judge, Vigilance, Bolangir. This officer had made a locker in his bed. 6.5 lakh rupees cash was received from this locker. Apart from this, raids were also conducted on several houses and commercial complexes.

Raids were conducted simultaneously in these 6 places

  1. Two-storey house in Sarla Unit-16 of Sambalpur
  2. A two -storey house in Jharsuguda
  3. A market complex in Brajrajnagar
  4. Two housing board houses in Lahandabuud
  5. Kantabanji (Bolngir) R \ & B Division Office
  6. Government Quarter of Titlagarh, (Bolangir)

What has been done so far during the raid?

  • ₹ 6,57,500 cash hidden in a locker under the bed in Sambalpur house
  • A two -storey house of 4500 square feet with a beauty parlor operated by the officer’s wife on the below floor
  • A 6300 square feet of one and two-storey house in Brajrajnagar Unit-2
  • Two houses in Lahandabuud (Jharsuguda)
  • 900 square feet market complex with 4 shops
  • 9 High Value Plot – 1 in Sambalpur, 1 in Brajrajnagar, 6 on the outskirts of Sambalpur and 1 in Badmal (Jharsuguda)
  • About 300 grams of gold
  • Deposit amount of more than ₹ 20 lakh and other investment in bank
  • 1 car (Swift Desire) and 2 two -wheelers

Vigilance’s technical team is now valuing these houses, shops and plots. It is clear from the information so far that a large amount of property has been found in the name of Dileshwar Majhi and his family, which is considered more than his income. The search operation is currently on. The matter is again raising questions about the monitoring of the property of government officials in the state.
