IND Vs Eng, Shubman Gill Record: Shubman Gill broke Virat Kohli’s biggest test score by playing 269 runs in the Birmingham Test against England. As captain, Gill has now become the highest score player for India in Test history. In this innings, he not only scored runs, but also put a line of many records.

Shubman Gill’s bat is writing history on the soil of England. In the second Test being played in Birmingham, Gill scored 269 runs in India’s first innings and along with Virat Kohli’s record also broke the record which was persisted for the last five years. Virat scored 254* against South Africa in the Pune Test in 2019, but now captain Gill has come at the top of this list and has also become the second Indian batsman to score more than 250 runs in an innings in Test cricket.

During this historic innings of Gill, he also made two big partnerships for the sixth wicket with Ravindra Jadeja (89 runs) and then added 144 runs for the seventh wicket with Washington Sundar (42 runs) to bring India’s score to 550.

This dual century of Gill is not limited to the test just. With this innings, he has now become the third player in the world after Chris Gayle and Rohit Sharma who has a double century in Tests, double centuries in ODIs and a century in T20 International.
