According to the government’s cyber security agency, many flaws have been found in the Android operating system. Using these, hackers can attack your smartphone or tablet, which can lead to theft of sensitive information, destabilization of the device or even crash of the device.

CERT-In has suggested some measures to avoid these dangers…
1. Update your Android device: Install security updates released by Google and device manufacturers (OEMs). For this, click on Settings > System Upgrade > Check for updates for device updates.
2. Download apps only from trusted sources: Always install apps from Google Play Store. Do not sideload apps from unverified platforms.
3. Check app permissions: Turn off permissions for apps you don’t need. Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) for specific apps.
4. Turn on device encryption: Use device encryption to protect your device and data.
