BCCI pulled out of coaching post, then Sri Lanka put Kohli’s friend on 10 days job in the team
Bcci: Sri Lanka Cricket on Tuesday took a big step by appointing former fielding coach of the Indian cricket team R Sridhar as a fielding coach. Sridhar will conduct a 10 -day fielding program to increase the fielding standards of Sri Lankan cricketers. The special program will start from May 7 and will also include men and women national teams, emerging teams, premiere club players, National Under-19 team and women ‘A’ team.
Former Indian Fielding Coach
BCCI level 3 qualified coach, Sridhar has a rich experience of coaching, he has worked as India’s fielding coach in more than 300 international matches from 2014 to 2021. Former Indian fielding coaches will start the program with Sri Lanka’s national men’s team and later train other teams.
Sridhar will be involved in many works
Here he will conduct match cinereos to repeat fielding practice, skill training and sports conditions. He will work closely with national, high performance and club coaches during his 10 -day tenure in Sri Lanka Cricket. This step is expected to improve the fielding standards of Sri Lankan cricket. Recently, a women’s team led by Chamari Atapattu defeated India in the fourth match of the tri -series in Colombo.
These players have also worked in IPL
Sridhar has previously worked as a fielding coach and assistant coach with the Indian Under-19 team. He has also worked with Punjab Kings (earlier Kings XI Punjab) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
R Sridhar has experience
The press release released by Sri Lanka Cricket states that BCCI Level 3 qualified coach Sridhar has a lot of experience, he has worked as India’s fielding coach in more than 300 international matches from 2014 to 2021. He will start the program with the Sri Lankan national team. He will then train with other players. R Sridhar may not have played a single international match for India. But he took 91 wickets in 35 first class matches and also scored 574 runs. At the same time, he took 14 wickets in 15 List-A matches.
