In such a situation, if you are doing construction work, then make sure that your goods are not kept in public places and if necessary, you should take permission from the concerned authority. Purpose of this rule
The purpose of this rule is to keep public places clean and safe. Along with this, it is also to be ensured that pedestrians and drivers do not have to face any kind of inconvenience or accident. If you keep bricks and construction material in the street, then you will have to first take permission from the Municipal Corporation or authority. After which you can get the construction done only by keeping all the rules in mind. For this you have to put a mesh and also leave a path for people and vehicles.
How much will be the fine
Recently NGT had talked about imposing heavy fine for keeping bricks and construction material in the street. It was told that if bricks or any construction material is kept on the roads, then the person may have to pay a fine of up to Rs 50 thousand per hour. Along with this, he said that burning garbage in the open is a serious problem, people who do not follow this rule may have to pay about Rs 5 thousand per hour.
A bench headed by NGT Chairperson Justice Swatanter Kumar, while directing the issue of public notice, said, "This will also apply to transportation of construction materials. Along with this, these rules will also be applicable in MCR Delhi. That means if you violate the rules, you may have to pay fine.
