Beneficiaries of ‘Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana’ expressed happiness in Harda
Harda, 5 November (IANS). Under PM Narendra Modi’s ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’, lakhs of poor families got permanent houses to live. This scheme was started in the year 2015, whose vision was that every poor family should have a permanent house to live. This vision seems to be gradually being fulfilled. People of Harda in Madhya Pradesh have also benefited from this scheme.
Under ‘Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’, Rs 2.50 lakh was provided to the poor and people living below the poverty line through three installments. In which the first installment was given as Rs 1 lakh, the second installment was Rs 1 lakh and the third installment was Rs 50 thousand.
Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana was launched in Harda district in September 2017. From then till present, 6,813 people in the urban area have been benefited. In which about 90 percent houses of about 6,011 people have been completed. The houses of the same 10 percent people are incomplete, to whom funds have been provided, but still the houses have not been built. Notices have been issued to such people.
Pramendra Sakalle, a resident of Gadhipura, a beneficiary of this scheme, says, “I benefited from this scheme during the tenure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Earlier I had a kutcha house, but today I live in a pucca house. My house is my own. Through this scheme, PM Modi provided housing to those who were deprived.”
Another beneficiary Ganesh Kushwaha also expressed happiness on getting the house. He said that earlier he used to live in a broken house, but due to the kindness of the government, today he is living in a permanent house. Many thanks to PM Modi and Shivraj Singh Chouhan for providing benefits under this scheme.
Women beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Maya Bai, Meena Bai, Rekha Nayade and Jyoti Nayade also expressed happiness on getting permanent houses under this scheme. He told that he has received all the three installments for the construction of the house.
Harda CMO Kamlesh Patidar said that under this scheme, 6,813 houses have been given by Harda Municipality since 2017, out of which about 504 are in progress, the remaining houses have been completed. 107 people did not build houses with the money from the scheme. Action is being taken to recover the money by giving them notice.
