Hyundai i20 Facelift: Hyundai Motor Company has launched a new Sportz (O) variant of its popular hatchback i20 in the Indian market. The price of the new variant has been kept at Rs 8.73 lakh. Its price is Rs 35,000 more than the standard Sports trim. The new (O) variant is based on the Sports trim, which will come with a manual gearbox with single and dual-tone color options.
The Hyundai i20 facelift was launched in the Indian market in September 2023 and the brand has now introduced a new Sportz (O) trim which is Rs 35,000 more expensive than the Sportz trim. The Sportz (O) is priced at Rs 8.73 lakh ex-showroom for the monotone paint option, while the dual-tone paint variant is priced at Rs 8.88 lakh. Talking about design, the front of the premium hatchback gets a new parametric grille and LED headlamp setup with integrated LED DRL. The bumper has been redesigned. The rear profile has also been updated, it now has a newly designed bumper. At the rear, it still gets the same Z-shaped tail lamps as before.
This new Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) trim gets the addition of a single-pane sunroof. Earlier, the sunroof was available only on Asta and Asta (O) variants. Apart from this, Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) also comes with features like height adjustable driver seat, cruise control and rear parking camera. The car has been provided with 16 inch diamond cut alloy wheels, which make the car more sporty. In terms of safety, the Hyundai i20 Sportz (O) gets six airbags, ABS, EBD, hill-start assist, ESC and vehicle stability management control.

Hyundai i20 has a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine, which generates 83.13 hp power and 115 Nm torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed MT or 6-speed iVT automatic gearbox. Hyundai i20 is now available in five variants. These include Era, Magna, Sportz, Sportz (O), Asta and Asta (O). Its ex-showroom price starts at Rs 7.04 lakh, going up to Rs 11.21 lakh for the top-end variant. The Hyundai i20 facelift competes with premium hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza and Tata Altroz.
