Greater Noida News: Big work has been done near the Jewar Airport being established near Greater Noida. On Friday, the foundation stone of a world class shoe manufacturing company was laid in Sector 29 of Yamuna region near Jewar Airport. There will be an investment of Rs 300 crore in the shoe factory to be set up near Jewar Airport. This factory is being established by Germany’s famous industrial group Von Wallachs. This will be the biggest factory to be set up near Jewar Airport.
Von Welks Germany Group has laid the foundation stone of its first exclusive shoe factory with German technology at Sector 29, Yida Jewar. A huge footwear accessory industry will also be set up in YEIDA, announced Group CEO Ashish Jain.
Von Wallachs Germany Group laid the foundation stone for the second phase of its new footwear plant near Jewar Airport. The plant is being built on an area of 10,000 square meters, with a covered area of 1,30,000 square feet. The group is making a capital investment of Rs 300 crore here. The foundation stone was laid on Friday, 4th October in the dignified presence of Chief Guest Dhirendra Singh, MLA, Jewar and Special Guest Arun Veer Singh, CEO, Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) and Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL). Kapil Singh, IAS, Additional CEO, Smt. Shruti, Additional CEO, Ashfaq Saifi, Chairman, Minorities Commission Uttar Pradesh and many international and national dignitaries were present on the occasion. All the company’s partners from many countries including USA, Germany, Dubai, Middle East, Africa, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, China and Japan attended the event.
Ashish Jain, CEO of Von Lux Germany Group India, said that this is the first of its kind modern footwear plant to be set up in India using German technology. The factory will be a vertically integrated unit, producing over 4 million pairs, which will be exported to over 80 countries across the world and will also be sold in the Indian market. This is a unique collaboration in which a German and Indian company is combining German technology and Indian population benefits. All types of shoes, including sports shoes, will be produced in men’s, women’s and children’s categories using unique patented technology and eco-friendly techniques. This cooperation between the companies will be in the areas of technology transfer, research and development, marketing and production.

Apart from this, Ashish Jain also announced that the group will also set up a huge footwear accessories industry in YEIDA itself, under which outsoles, insoles, interlinings and other non-leather raw materials will also be produced. This will improve the availability of quality raw materials, thereby substituting imports and increasing exports. With all these factories, we are planning to provide direct and indirect employment to around 10,000 people. Will invest a total of Rs 300 crore.
This project, which is one of the largest footwear projects from China to India post Covid, was announced by our Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as a major step to make Uttar Pradesh a major hub of trade and industry. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal had also cited this project as a major win for our Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s broader vision of ‘Make in India’.
