Gunshots heard amid clashes: PTI founder’s wife Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur reportedly fled after seeing the crackdown on protesters at D-Chowk, ARY News channel reported. During this period, the army and police arrested about 450 PTI protesters. The administration has evacuated Bule area, Khyber Chowk and Kulsoom Plaza by expelling the PTI supporters. Police fired tear gas shells amid clashes between security personnel and protesters. During this time, the sound of bullets was also heard. This channel quoted sources as saying that Bushra Bibi and Chief Minister Gandapur fled in the same vehicle. Earlier, Federal Government Home Minister Mohsin Naqvi announced that the police will deal with the PTI protesters at their own level. Naqvi accused Bushra Bibi of instigating all the chaos that resulted in loss of life and property in Islamabad. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the protesters have been successfully cleared from D-Chowk.
Days three, six dead The day-long pitched battle between security forces and PTI protesters in the federal capital led to the arrest of the party’s top leadership and supporters from the Red Zone (D-Chowk) early today, according to details updated on the website of Dawn newspaper. Sister claims Bushra has been kidnapped: According to Geo News Channel, Bushra Bibi’s sister Maryam Riaz Wato has expressed apprehension that Bushra has been kidnapped. Early today, Maryam said in a video message that if Bushra had reached Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, she would have contacted her family. He said they had received contradictory information regarding Bushra’s arrest and his alleged arrival in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Maryam said that PTI’s demonstration has received a lot of support. Meanwhile, PTI leader and National Assembly member Sher Afzal Marwat said that the protests that started on November 24 in Islamabad have now been cancelled.
PTI suspends protest PTI’s Central Media Cell issued a press release saying, In view of the government’s brutality and its plan to turn the federal capital into a slaughterhouse for unarmed civilians, we are announcing the temporary suspension of our peaceful protest. . The former ruling party said it would announce its future strategy under the guidance of party founder Imran Khan.
