Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai participated in the Constitution Day Padyatra program on Tuesday morning. The Constitution Day Padyatra started from Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College Auditorium and ended at Ambedkar Chowk. The Chief Minister paid tribute to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar by garlanding his statue.

In this padyatra, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma, Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, Food Minister Dayaldas Baghel, former Assembly Speaker Dharamlal Kaushik, MLAs Inder Kumar Sahu, Guru Khushwant Saheb, Anuj Sharma, Women Commission member Lakshmi Verma. and Youth Commission Chairman Vishwajeet Tomar.

Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while addressing the program organized at Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Memorial Medical College Auditorium on this occasion, said that our Constitution is a mirror of India’s age-old culture, history and traditions. This Constitution is the result of our centuries of struggle, experience and achievements. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the celebration of Constitution Day 2024 has started from today, 26th November. Today, 75 years have passed since the assimilation of the Constitution of India. The Chief Minister said that wherever the makers of our Constitution have written about fundamental rights, they have mentioned the pictures of Lord Shri Ram, Mother Sita and Brother Laxman. He said that this picture was taken when Lord Shri Ram was returning to Ayodhya after conquering Lanka. We have to understand what message the makers of our Constitution have given us through this picture. There are many such pictures and symbols in the Constitution, through which the makers of the Constitution have indicated that we have to take democracy forward with Indian culture and life values.

Chief Minister (CM Vishnudev Sai) said that it is also a big feature of our Constitution that there is a provision for amendment in it as per the changing times. The makers of our Constitution did not impose their wishes and ideas on the country, but with their foresight, left the scope for future generations to amend it according to the circumstances of their time, the knowledge of their time, the needs of their time.

In the program, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Tankram Verma said that, in this glorious moment of Constitution Day, we have to make people aware of the rights granted by the Constitution and our fundamental duties. The Constituent Assembly drafted the Constitution in two years, 11 months and 18 days. This Constitution of India is an ideal for the whole world. The Constitution is not just a book but a philosophy of life for democracy. The Constitution determines the duties and rights. It is an indicator of the unity and integrity of the country.

Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap said that the country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for celebrating Constitution Day to make the Constitution of India accessible to the people. The world’s largest Constitution gave Vananchal’s daughter the opportunity to hold the post of the Supreme President of the country. If there is any means to advance the Dalits then it is the Constitution of India. To keep democracy strong, all the people of the country have to be aware of the duties given in the Constitution. Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, the creator of the Constitution of India, will be remembered for ages.

MLA Dharam Lal Kaushik said that after the independence of the country, the Constitution was created to keep democracy intact. Constitution Day is a day to pay tribute to the makers of the Constitution. On this day everyone should take a pledge on accountability of duties.

This event is being organized to create awareness about the importance of the Constitution, which will last throughout the year. For this, the tagline “Our Constitution-Our Self-Respect” has been fixed.

On this occasion, Sports Department Secretary Himshikhar Gupta, Raipur Collector Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh, Corporation Commissioner Avinash Mishra, District Panchayat CEO Vishwadeep, Sports Department Director Tanuja Salam and other officials and school students were present.
