Palpal correspondent, Jabalpur. The police have arrested the husband and wife who committed robbery with an old woman named Alka Bhave in Polipathar, Jabalpur, MP. The couple who came on a motorcycle had snatched the gold mangalsutra from the neck of old Alka Bhave. Police have arrested both of them and started investigation in connection with other incidents of robbery.
Police officials told that old lady Alka Bhave, aged 69 years, living in Geet Bihar Colony Face Two, was coming towards her home after walking along the road at 6.30 in the morning. When she was passing in front of Adarsh School. During this time, the couple who came on motorcycle stopped and asked which was Dubey ji’s house. Alka Bhave said that she did not know, then the woman snatched the gold mangalsutra from Alka Bhave’s neck and ran away. As soon as the mangalsutra was snatched, the woman raised an alarm, but the robber couple escaped. Hearing the noise, nearby people gathered, who gave chase but the robbers escaped. Police reached the spot and scanned the CCTV footage. After interrogating, the suspect Vibhor Swami, father Shankar Shastri, aged 25 years, and Khushi Pandey, husband Vibhor Swami, resident of Tendukheda, Kherua, Deori district, Raisen Hall, street number 6, Lala Pan Chowk, were caught and brought to the Gohalpur police station. During interrogation in the police station, both of them confessed to the robbery. The police seized the Mangalsutra that had been snatched from the accused and the Royal Enfield Bullet motor cycle used in the incident and presented them before the Honorable Court. From where both were sent to jail in judicial custody. Gwarighat TI Sakturam Maravi, SI Parineeta Belekar, head constable Omnarayan, Hiralal Yadav, constable Gopesh Baghel, Chhatpal Nishad, Guddu Singh, lady constable Padma Thackeray and crime branch’s ASI Dhananjay Singh, head constable Virendra Singh, constable were involved in arresting the robber couple. Mukul Gautam, Rajesh Mishra, Ashutosh Baghel had commendable roles.
