Asia cup 2025: Team India is currently on a tour of England, but another big news has come out outside the field. The situation regarding the Asia Cup 2025 is still not clear. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has sought an immediate reply from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) regarding India’s participation in the tournament.

If the tournament is to start from September 5, the BCCI will have to clarify its position by 5 July. Now there are only three days left. The political tension between India and Pakistan has increased once again since the beginning of May. For this reason, uncertainty about the tournament is also increasing.

ACC put pressure on, preparing for tournament has to start

The report came on the previous day that the Asia Cup 2025 can start from September 5, but now it has come to light that the BCCI has not yet agreed to it. According to Times Now report, the ACC has written a letter to the BCCI and made it clear that they need confirmation at least 60 days in advance to start the preparation for the event.

In the letter, the ACC wrote, “If the response is not received on time, then the planning of the event, allocation of resources and commercial activation will be badly affected. Our media and sponsorship partners Soniliv and TCM have already expressed concern that delayed can cause huge losses.”

Tournament canceled threat, crisis on earnings

The ACC has made it clear that the Asia Cup is their main income source. If this tournament does not happen on time, then it will be a big shock not just cricket but also in terms of earning. Sony and TCM have said that if there is more delay, they can claim ‘violation of the agreement’ and seek discounts or compensation.

Doubt increased due to Indo-Pak relations

In fact, since the increased tension between India and Pakistan in May, there has been doubt about the Asia Cup 2025. If India removes from the tournament or is late in the event, it will directly affect the revenue model and broadcast planning of the ACC.
