He first passed JEE and studied engineering from IIT Delhi. After this he passed CAT and did MBA from IIM Bangalore. After this Divya got a big package job and went to London.

Divya Mittal, originally from Rewari district of Haryana, passed the Civil Services Examination in her first attempt without any coaching and secured her place as an IPS. However, with the dream of becoming an IAS in mind, Divya took the exam for the second time and became an IAS officer by securing 68th rank in All India. After completing her engineering degree from IIT Delhi, Divya passed the CAT exam and took admission in IIM Bangalore. After completing her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree, Divya Mittal went to London to pursue a job with a good package.

First her husband Gagandeep Singh passed the IAS exam and then Divya also managed to get a place. Before joining the civil service, he worked as a foreign derivatives trader in London. Divya has done MBA from IIM Bangalore and B.Tech from IIT Delhi.

Influenced by her husband becoming an IAS, she nurtured the dream of becoming an IAS. When husband became IAS, she also started preparing for UPSC without any coaching help. Divya Mittal achieved IPS rank in 2012 in her first attempt, but her dream was to become an IAS. So Divya took the exam again and this time in 2013 she fulfilled her dream by securing 68th rank. This time he got UP cadre. IAS Divya Mittal has commanded the districts like Sant Kabir Nagar, Mirzapur, Basti etc. He is a source of inspiration for the youth preparing for UPSC.
