Do not discriminate against AIDS victims in any way

Dhamtari. Despite the awareness of the health department, AIDS patients are appearing in the district every year. This year, 27 probable HIV-AIDS patients have been found and three victims have also died. In view of this, for the prevention and protection of AIDS in the district, a campaign rally was taken out a day before the World AIDS Day on December 1 along with the officers and employees of the Health Department to make people aware about avoiding AIDS. An oath was taken not to discriminate against AIDS victims in any way.

On December 1, on World AIDS Day, oath taking ceremony was organized in the courtyard of District Hospital Dhamtari. Here, CMHO Dr. UL Kaushik, Civil Surgeon Dr. R. Suryavanshi administered the oath to the officers, employees and nursing students present not to discriminate against HIV-AIDS victims and to give them the right to equality. After this, a candle march was taken out through the main road of the city by the nursing students giving awareness message, which passed through many places and reached the district hospital again and the rally ended. Officers, employees, social service organizations as well as transgender and nodal officer Dr. Aditya Sinha were present in this program.
