Egg is a storehouse of nutrients and is considered a complete diet. Experts say, “Be it Sunday or Monday, eat eggs every day.” A recent research has revealed that consumption of eggs can be beneficial in keeping the memory sharp in old age.

Egg is not only rich in nutrients, but it also helps in keeping the brain sharp and improving memory as we age. It is called a “super food” because it contains nutrients that are highly beneficial for the body and brain. Consuming eggs can maintain memory and cognitive ability even in old age. Therefore, if you also want to be healthy, then include an egg in your diet every day.

Actually, recently a research has come out regarding eggs in which it has been said that a nutrient called choline is found in eggs, which is helpful in improving brain functions and increasing memory. It strengthens communication between brain cells and improves thinking ability.

How does egg help in improving memory?

According to research, a nutrient called choline present in eggs helps in increasing brain function and improving memory. Choline establishes better communication between brain cells and strengthens memory. Additionally, eggs also contain vitamin B6, vitamin B12, and folic acid, which can slow down the shrinking process of the brain.

A study conducted at the University of California, San Diego studied the effects of eggs on approximately 890 people aged 55 years or older. It was found that women who regularly ate eggs had better verbal fluency (ability to speak words quickly and clearly) than other women. However, no such major effect was seen in men.
