If the report is to be believed, ED has seized the Juhu flat as well as the Pune bungalow and equity shares of the actress. Let us tell you that this entire matter is related to the Bitcoin Ponzi scheme scam of 2002.

According to the statement issued by ED, “Among the seized properties are a flat in Juhu, Mumbai, which is in the name of Shilpa Shetty and a bungalow in Pune, which is in the name of Raj Kundra. Apart from this, the seized assets include equity shares. A provisional attachment order has been issued under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) to seize these assets worth approximately Rs 97.79 crore.

The investigating agency alleges that the accused had collected huge amounts of money in the form of Bitcoin from people with the false promise of 10% returns every month. These bitcoins were supposed to be used in bitcoin mining but the promoters cheated the investors and hid the ill-gotten bitcoins in online wallets. Not only this, Raj Kundra is also accused of using Bitcoin mining for his personal interests. The surprising thing is that Raj Kundra is also being said to be the biggest mastermind of this scam.
On this basis, ED raided his house and his property worth Rs 98 crore was confiscated. Let us tell you that even before this, Raj Kundra had faced a lot of trouble, when he had to go to jail. Yes… last year he was accused of making and uploading obscene films on a mobile app, after which he was jailed for 2 months.
