Meanwhile, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde submitted his resignation from the post of Chief Minister to Governor CP Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis were present with him. However, till the election of the next CM, Eknath Shinde will hold the responsibilities of the post of acting CM. Actually, the tenure of Maharashtra Assembly is ending today.
Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has resigned from the post of CM. He submitted his resignation to Governor CP Radhakrishnan. The Governor has appointed him as the acting Chief Minister. Until the government is formed, Eknath Shinde will be the acting Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Devendra Fadnavis may get the responsibility
According to media reports, an agreement has been reached in the Grand Alliance to give the post of CM to BJP and Devendra Fadnavis may get this responsibility from BJP. Besides, there will be one Deputy CM each from Shiv Sena and NCP factions. After the huge majority in the assembly elections, there is a tussle going on between BJP and Shiv Sena for the post of CM. Actually, Shiv Sena is demanding to make Eknath Shinde the CM.

CM’s name may be announced on November 30
While talking to the media, Shiv Sena MLA and party spokesperson Sanjay Pandurang Shirsat has claimed that the new CM of the state will be announced on November 30 i.e. Saturday. Earlier there were reports that the name of CM could be announced only by Tuesday evening, but now it is clear from the statement of Shiv Sena MLA that there is a tussle going on in Mahayuti regarding the claim on the post of CM. According to media reports, if Eknath Shinde does not become CM, he will not take the post of Deputy CM and in his place, any leader from the party can be made Deputy CM. It is not yet decided when the swearing-in ceremony of the new government will take place in Maharashtra.
