Farmer leader’s big announcement, farmers will march on foot to Delhi on December 6
ChandigarhFarmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher told that Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on a fast unto death and his health is continuously deteriorating. After discussion with all the leaders of the country at Shambhu border, both the forums have decided that we will move towards Delhi peacefully on foot with essential goods.
Sarwan Singh Pandher said that if the government allows us to go, the group will stop at some places other than Ambala. It is winter season and it will be very cold. We have now left everything to the people of Haryana. Haryana’s Agriculture Minister had given a statement that he had no objection if the farmers wanted to come on foot. We want the government to stick to its statement now. We have named our group (Marjiwadiyan Da Jatha). If the government stops us, then we would like to give a message to the traders, transporters of the country along with the people of Punjab-Haryana that these people had stopped us for 10 months and are stopping us even today.
He said that BJP spokespersons are continuously telling lies in TV debates. He has said that we will not do contract farming. The Modi government of the country does not want to talk to the farmer laborers. If he brings a concrete proposal then a happy solution can be found. He told that Punjab’s farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal is on a fast unto death and information has been received that he has lost five kilos. His health is deteriorating. The list of how many people will go in the first batch for Delhi march will be released soon. In the first batch, all the farmers will be union leaders.
It is noteworthy that on November 18, Sarwan Singh Pandher had told that on November 26, Jagjit Singh Dallewal would start an indefinite fast at Khanauri border. After 10 days of fast, on 6th December, we will march towards Delhi with groups. There will be no vehicle with us. We have not been able to have any talks with the Central Government since February 18 this year. It would be pleasant if the government finds some solution through talks.
