Forgotten omission waived OTT release also banned, PVR prosecuted 60 crores
Bollywood actor Rajkumar Rao and Vamika Gabbi’s film ‘Bhool Lack Maa’ was scheduled to release in theaters on 9 May 2025. But the day before the release, the makers canceled the release in theaters in view of the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan.
The film was scheduled to premiere on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video on 16 May. Now the sword has also been hanging on the OTT release of ‘Bhool omoing waiver’. The Bombay High Court has banned the release of this movie of production house Madock Films.

PVR Cinema filed a case of Rs 60 crore on Dinesh Vijan’s production house ‘Madock Films’. He said that he was financially damaged due to the sudden cancellation of the film ‘Bhool Lumps’. PVR had also filed a case against the production house to ban the film’s Amazon Prime Video.
PVR said that the film should be released in the theater first, streaming it on a digital platform 8 weeks after that. The Bombay High Court, while hearing the case, issued an interim order, stopping Madock Films with PVR Inex, before the completion of the 8 -week theatrical window, the film ‘Bhool Laws Maid’ has been stopped from release on the OTT platform.
‘Bhool omission waiver’ was earlier set to release in theaters on 9 May 2025. But on April 22, there was a terrorist attack in Pahalgam in Kashmir, in which 26 people died. After this India replied and named it ‘Operation Sindoor’. The tension between the two countries increased, which continues till now.
The court said that the production house’s film film’s theater release, citing security concerns and commercial reasons, was a violation of the contract. The matter will be heard again on 16 May.
