Uttar Pradesh News Desk: Four cricketers from the city have been selected in the Uttar Pradesh Under-16 team. The names of these players were announced. Of these, three have been kept as standby players. UP team will play Vijay Merchant Trophy.
A practice camp for the Under-16 cricket team was organized from 19 to 27 at the Pioneer Cricket Ground located in Sector-127. During this period, competitions were organized by forming different teams. In this, the player who performed better was given a place in the team. Bhavi Sharma has been selected in the 16-member team among the players selected for Noida and Greater Noida. Prateek, Raghav Chopra and Karthikeya Raj have been selected as standby players. Vijay Merchant Trophy will start in Gujarat from December 1st. The UP team will leave for the competition. Bhavi Sharma will be a part of the team in the role of batsman. Apart from these, the other three players have also been selected for batting. Prateek will also do wicketkeeping.

KL Tejwani of the District Cricket Committee said that most of the players selected in standby get a chance to play. Standby players get a chance to play in place of players who have not performed well in one or two matches.
All four players performed brilliantly in the practice camp organized for the Vijay Merchant Trophy. Bhavi scored 100 runs in one innings. Karthikeya had scored a half-century. At the same time, Raghav also played a good inning of 84 runs. Apart from this, Prateek had done good wicketkeeping.
