Gaziabad: Two smugglers caught with 30 cases of beer.
Uttar Pradesh News Desk Mussoorie Police has arrested two smugglers with boxes of smuggled beer. Police say that 30 boxes of beer worth Rs 1.5 lakh and a vehicle used in smuggling have been recovered from the possession of the accused. A case has been registered and action is being taken.
ACP Mussoorie Siddharth Gautam told that Mussoorie Police was checking at night. Meanwhile, when a Bolero vehicle was checked at the toll on the KMP Highway towards Baghpat, 30 cases of beer were recovered from it. The value of 720 bottles found in the boxes is around Rs 1.5 lakh. According to the ACP, two smugglers were found present in the vehicle, who were identified as Sachin Jaiswal and Jitendra, residents of Wood Enclave of Police Station Sector-20, Noida. Sachin is originally a resident of Milkipur village of Ayodhya and Jitendra is from Jagdishpur village of Barabanki. During interrogation, both the accused told that they were going from Gautam Buddha Nagar to load 30 cases of beer in a Bolero and sell it secretly at wedding ceremonies.
TDS of water is increasing due to mixing of groundwater in Ganga water.
Water with high TDS was also supplied in Vasundhara Sector 1. Due to this people had to face a lot of problems. People say that TDS of water increases due to mixing of Ganga water and ground water. Due to this, skin related diseases are spreading.
Local resident Dharampal Gaur said that he has become frustrated while complaining to the Municipal Corporation. Despite several complaints, groundwater is continuously mixing with Ganga water, due to which people are facing a lot of trouble. People have to manage by ordering water bottles from outside, which is also incurring additional expenses.
Somendra Tomar, Junior Engineer of the Water Works Department, says that Ganga water is not being supplied in sufficient quantity. Due to this, tap water has to be mixed to get the correct water pressure. Complaints have been made to the Jal Nigam several times, but there is no improvement in the supply.
