Washington. Andy Beshear, governor of the US state of Kentucky, was re-elected for a second term on Tuesday. Democrat Beshear won a notable victory in the extremely conservative state. Beshear defeated state Attorney General Daniel Cameron. Cameron is a protégé of Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell. He is considered a rising star of Republican politics. According to media reports, Cameron made every possible effort during the election campaign. Attacked Beshear for vetoing a bill banning transgender youth and linked him to President Joe Biden. But Beshear, 45, one of the nation’s most popular governors, was defeated in the election.
