GST revenue collection increased by 8.5 percent in November to cross Rs 1.82 lakh crore.
New Delhi, 01 December (Hindustan Reporter). There is good news on the economy front. Goods and Services Tax (GST) revenue collection has increased by 8.5 percent in the month of November and has crossed Rs 1.82 lakh crore. The reason for this is more revenue from domestic transactions. It was Rs 1.68 lakh crore in the same period last year.
The Directorate General of GST said in the data released on Sunday that the gross GST revenue collection in November has increased by 8.5 percent to more than Rs 1.82 lakh crore, which is the highest level in the last six months. Last month in October, GST revenue collection of Rs 1.87 lakh crore was the second best GST revenue collection with an annual growth of nine percent. The highest GST revenue collection so far was more than Rs 2.10 lakh crore in April 2024.
According to the data, out of the GST revenue collection of Rs 1,82,269 crore in November, Central GST collection was Rs 34,141 crore, State GST was Rs 43,047 crore, Integrated IGST was Rs 91,828 crore and Cess was Rs 13,253 crore. Refunds worth Rs 19,259 crore have also been issued this month, which is 8.9 percent less than the same period last year. After adjusting for refunds, net GST revenue collection increased by 11 per cent to Rs 1.63 lakh crore.
