Gujarat horror: Woman killed with sword after son flees with neighbour’s daughter | Crime News

A woman was killed after her son fled with a minor girl from the neighbourhood in Gujarat’s Mansa. Two other family members, including the boy’s grandfather and grandmother were badly injured in the incident and are currently in hospital. The woman’s was murdered by the minor girl’s family.

Ahmedabad: In a shocking murder reported from Gujarat’s Mansa town, a woman was allegedly killed by her neighbours. The hapless woman was killed for no fault of hers, but because her son fled with the neighbour’s teenage daughter. The murder took place on Friday night, said police.

Murder after girl returned home

The murder took place on Friday night, nearly 7 days after the girl returned home. Police said that the deceased was identified as Shilpa Thakore, whose 19-year-old son, Kishan fled with a minor girl from the neighbourhood.

The complaint was filed by the boy’s father, Mahesh Thakore. He told police that his son, Kishan had eloped with his neighbour’s minor daughter. A complaint against Kishan was registered by the girl’s family on April 19.

Following the complaint, Kishan and the girl returned to Mansa and the girl went back home. Following the incident, probably fearing the actions of the girl’s family, the Thakore family locked their house and left for a relative’s place in Charada. The family returned on Friday night, hoping that the matter was now not all that serious.

However they were mistaken. As soon as they came home, the girl’s family members came there and started abusing Kishan’s family. Following heated arguments between the 2 sides, the girl’s family attacked the boy’s father. When his wife Shilpa tried to intervene, she was also not spared. In fact, the accused also attacked Gaji Thakore, the mother of the complainant in the case and his father.

The accused allegedly struck Shilpa with swords and then picked her up and threw her on the road behind the house. The woman died on the spot, while Gaji and the father of the complainant are admitted to hospital.

Following the murder, a case was registered against the girl’s family. Immediately after the attack the accused fled the town and police are now searching for them.
