New Delhi: Gurucharan Singh, best known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in SAB TV’s popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, has been reported missing since April 22. Recent investigations have revealed some startling details surrounding his disappearance. Contrary to earlier speculation, it has been uncovered that Gurucharan never boarded a flight to Mumbai.

Gurucharan Singh was about to get married?

As per reports, the actor seemed to be facing personal challenges, as he was on the verge of getting married and struggling with financial difficulties. However, the identity of his fiancée was not revealed. The report by India Today also states that Gurucharan was dealing with financial woes after he left the show in 2020. Since then, he has not taken up any significant projects.

Gurucharan Singh goes missing

Gurucharan’s intended journey to Delhi airport took an unexpected turn, as he was spotted withdrawing around Rs 7,000 from an ATM in Delhi. Reportedly, CCTV footage confirmed his presence in Delhi until April 24, after which his mobile phone was switched off.

The last sighting of Guricharan was near his home in Palam. CCTV footage from April 22, at 9:14 PM, showed him at Parshuram Chowk in the Palam area of Delhi. His father filed a missing complaint on April 26, and an FIR was lodged under Section 365 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Singh was supposed to catch a flight to Mumbai from Delhi at 8:30 AM on April 22, as per his family.

Mandar Chandwadkar reacts to Gurucharan Singh’s news

Mandar Chandwadkar, who portrays Bhide in TMKOC, expressed his concern to The Indian Express, stating, “It’s really surprising for me as well. He keeps travelling between Delhi and Mumbai. Last we met at Dilip Joshi’s son’s wedding in December. We had a nice time together, but since then we have not been in touch. Just hoping and praying all is well.”
